There is a nature reserve at the northern tip of Sulawesi. Tangkoko Nature Reserve is its name. It is in the region of Bitung city. Tangkoko Volcano and Mount Dua Sudara surround this nature reserve. The is the reason why Indonesian governments name it Tangkoko Dua Sudara Nature Reserve.
This nature reserve hosts endemic animals. Spectral Tarsius is the most exotic animal here. Then, Sulawesi Black Crested Macaque is also there. In addition to them, there are many endemic birds, reptiles and mammals from this nature reserve. Visitors come to Tangkoko for bird watching, trekking and wildlife photography.
