North Sulawesi has two national parks. These national parks classify into terrestrial and marine. The name of the terrestrial jungle is Bogani Nani Warta Bone National Park. While, Bunaken is the name of marine national park. Both national parks are in North Sulawesi.
Bogani Nani Wartabone National Park
This National Park is primary jungle in south of North Sulawesi. Its former name is Dumoga Bone National Park. Because, it locates between Dumoga and Bone Bolango.Dumoga belongs to North Sulawesi. And, Bone Bolango belongs to Gorontalo. However, in the past North Sulawesi and Gorontalo are one province. Anyhow, this jungle is famous for trekking. Bird watchers also come here. In addition, visitors can observe several endemic animals species here also.
Bunaken National Park
Bunaken National Park consists two regions. They are northern and southern region. There are seven islands in this national park. Bunaken, Siladen, Manado Tua and Nain are islands at the north. Tatapahan and Didike islands at the south. The northern islands have people. While, the two at the south don’t. By the way, this national park is famous for tourist. Especially Bunaken and Siladen Island. Hence, every year many people visit here. They are international and local visitors.
